Spring Break 2007: Day 2, Chapter 1
Current mood: Category: Life I rolled in this morning at 9:40 a.m. I parked the Subaru on the street (I'm so gonna get a parking ticket), scooted in the side door of the mall, sidled up to the Nordstrom espresso bar and ordered an enorme' iced coconut mocha and a toasted bagel with cream cheese on the side. I splurge when I'm at the mall because no one makes an iced coconut mocha like the Nordy girls. I don't care who you are or where you think you get good coffee, this stuff is the piece de resistance. I've never had a bad coffee from them and I can't say that about any other place…not even the green giant.
I got my breakfast and headed upstairs to the gallery. As I headed toward the employee entrance to my store I noticed a clothing store located diagonally from the gallery. I spotted a mannequin in the window. Apparently this headless mannequin forgot to put a bra on this morning because it was obvious that "she" was either very cold or perhaps excited about being in the display window. Hmmm. That kind of grosses me out. I got to the back door of the gallery, unlocked, disarmed, turned on and opened up everything that needed to be verbed and then sat down to read the morning notes. Nothing new: we've got some pictures arriving today. I'll need to check them in and then update the inventory and print it off. Then I'll need to display our new picture. Let's see, we're not taking checks anymore. That's about it. I logged onto the internet, ugh, dial-up. I checked my email and myspace and responded to the barrage of notes awaiting my attention. Now what? I guess I'll make a few phone calls. |
