Spring Break 2007: Day 2, Chapter 3 Current mood: silly Category: Fashion, Style, Shopping Ladies and Gentlemen we have entered the long stretch...but it's all down hill from here. A friend of mine came in a little bit ago. She's shopping for clothes for her trip through Europe this year. She's my travel heroine because she does this thing called "saving" and this other thing called "budgeting" and she manages to have enough money during the summer to take these great trips, every other year or so, to Europe. I've asked her to share her magic tricks with me, the "saving" and the "budgeting" but I just can't figure it out...it's too complex for me, and kind of spooky. I admire her. Anyhoo, she was here and we were chatting about stuff, but all the different types of people who walked by the gallery continually diverted her attention. I had to laugh because while I can't say I'm accustomed to what I see, I can say I'm familiar with the different sorts who parade by. She was neither accustomed nor familiar to the parade, so watching her expressions as she watched the passers by was hilarious. The mall is a great place to people watch, especially this mall. You've probably seen or heard of that show, "What Not to Wear?" Well, you don't have to watch the show, just come sit with me for a few minutes and you'll see "what not to wear." You'll also see "how not to style your hair," "how not to raise your children," and "how not to act in public." If you ask me, it's a heck of a bargain. In the mall you can learn in 15 minutes what it would take the Learning Channel to teach you in 4 hours. Ugh, it's 5:00 pm. I've still got four hours to go. I'm on my second coffee of the day, but this one is half decaf so I won't be bouncing off the walls any time soon. I'm a trooper, if I do say so myself. Not many people could sit here alone for 12 hours and remain sane. OH! There's another show, "how not to go insane."
