Thy Word
Current mood: Category: Life "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33 NIV "And regarding the question, friends, that has come up about what happens to those already dead and buried, we don't want you in the dark any longer. First off, you must not carry on over them like people who have nothing to look forward to, as if the grave were the last word. Since Jesus died and broke loose from the grave, God will most certainly bring back to life those who died in Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 The Message "Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way." James 1:2-4 The Message "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1 NIV "But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it. In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." Romans 8:25-27 NAS For those of you who have been praying for me, thank you, God is answering your prayers. Please continue to pray for James' family, especially his three daughters. His two youngest ones were there with him when he died. They were the ones who called 911 and I've heard from his family that Hailey and Elizabeth are completely devastated. The funeral was today, 10:30am Missouri time, 8:30am Oregon time. Pray for salvation where there is none, and peace for all of them. Just pray... I love you all. |
