Where is Phil Collins when you need him?
Current mood: Category: Parties and Nightlife Dude, back in the late 80s and early 90s if I couldn't sleep during the spring and summer I could always bet on getting in my car, rolling all the windows down, sneaking a cigarette (I was such a rebel back then - Marlboro Menthol Lights) and within minutes of lighting up I'd somehow manage to find the one radio station in Alaska that was playing "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins. Man how that song mellowed me out. I loved that song! It still gives me goosebumps when I hear it. It takes me back to those nights when I had that urge to just cruise around town until I was mellow enough to come home and go to bed. I've got that crazy urge tonight. My new-to-me Subaru has a sunroof on it, totally cool, but it doesn't work. Lame. The windows are all automatic but it's too dang cold out. I don't smoke anymore, either, too much wheezing and gagging. Worst of all, I don't think I've heard Philly boy in quite some time. Sigh. The good old days. |
