Fat Eye

I'm pretty sure it's an allergy thing. I think I remember this happening every summer around this time. Why can't I remember exactly? Hmmm. I remember being in Springfield, sitting at my cubie doing work and all of a sudden: Fat Eye. Well, the whole eye isn't fat, just the inside half of my top left eyelid. Although, today it's more like just the middle third of my top left eyelid. The thing I can't figure out is what causes it. I mean it IS some kind of allergic reaction... well, I think it is. Y'know when I got hives REALLY bad the doctor told me to take Benedryl and it didn't help... and now that I think of it they don't help my eyelid, either. This morning I took a Tylenol Allergy pill. We'll see if that helps... Anyway, I wonder what causes this? I think I'll do some research on the web and see what I can find... man, I sure can type fast... Ugh... random morning thoughts after I haven't slept very much. I work 8pm tonight to 8am tomorrow morning so I'm messing with my sleep pattern a little bit. It's making me a little weird in my noodle.

Okay, web research! Fat Eye! Then I need to do some work here at the office. I suppose this was just a check in since it's been a while since I blogged. I'll be back with INFORMATION!

Later that same day... (okay like 5 minutes later.)

So I checked out some stuff online and I am still inconclusive as to the cause of the swelling on my left eyelid. Mind you, the right one never seems to have a problem. Anyhoo, the all-knowing (yeah right) world wide web had articles on dust mite allergies but I don't have any redness. There was also information on hayfever but only ONE of my eyelids is swelling and the conjunctiva (lining over the eyeball) isn't swelling and I'm not having any (bleh) goopy stuff. Another possibility is my mascara needs to be changed out AND I need to stop sleeping with make-up on (oh, because did I mention it only happens when I sleep?). So I'm going to try the mascara thing and see if that works. Still, it doesn't explain why only one eyelid swells. But then again I suppose one might be more sensitive or something... who knows?

Okay, on to work. I think the Tylenol Allergy pill might just be working... or is it that I wiped all my make-up off?

Ugh.

A rainbow colored, abscessed, monster of a thing.

Originally started October 2018. Gosh, I've needed to write for such a long time. I can't even get into journaling for some reason. I don't even care if anyone reads this, that's not the point... I just need to talk - unhindered and unfettered - talk. Y'know how when you get a splinter under your fingernail and you can see the thing so you know it's there? On Again Off Again

August 23, 2007 - Thursday On Again Off Again Current mood: tired Category: Life If I believed in astrology I would make some kind of comment about how today the moon must have been in the 6th house and Saturn was surely aligning with Pluto because why else would my day have felt so "off" and ended up with me in tears? After all, any true music proficionado would know that an ON day would consist of the moon being in the SEVENTH house and JUPITER aligning with MARS... A.K.A. the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius. I do not, however, believe in astrology. I am most certainly a fan of the 5th Dimension (Marilyn McCoo was so foxy back in the day!) but I'm not a fan of crediting or blaming my "off" days on the alignment...
