Yay! I got my Christmas present early! Tonight I had dinner at my parents' house and guess who I got to see? The blondes! This is what I call my oldest brothers' family - because they all have blonde hair. I haven't seen them in such a long time and it is so cool that they are here. N looks great - she's my sister-in-law and I love her like no other. She's mellow and funny, and just plain wonderful. S is the oldest son and man has he grown up and become so stinking cool! He's in his senior year at college and I'm just so impressed with him! K, the middle child and only daughter, is beautiful and funny and very smart. We share the same middle name... I think that's cool. J rounds out the bunch as the youngest son and he's so cute and lovable. He's a tank, too! He's going to be tall and stocky some day. Man, the kids have grown SO much. I miss them all the time but it's like it really hits home when I finally get to see them! I'm looking forward to Christmas a lot more than before!

On a not-so-cool note, my dad has NOT started on the room yet. Oi VEY! He's tried to work on it but things have been so busy and it just hasn't worked out. I'm not mad, just disappointed. He told me I could just move into one of the spare rooms until it was done but I'm not looking forward to not having my own space. I'll have to move all my stuff into the shed and then move it again when the room gets finished. My wonderful roomie said I could always stay with her but my parents would have a fit for "wasting" money on rent when I could just live with them in the house.

Father God, give me peace on this one. I'm stressing JUST a little.

That's all I got for now. I'm on Christmas break and have totally chilled for the past four days. Tomorrow I have to start packing for sure, built room or not.

God is good.

I have decided that I just don't care if my life has become an if-it's-not-one-thing-it's-another-one-comedy-of-errors-after-the-other-I-could-write-a-book-about-this-crap saga. It's my life, it's the only one I get, these are the choices I've made, this is the person I've become. My journals, Heaven forbid they are ever published, are fraught with stories of laughter and tears, joy and heartbreak, struggle and... well, struggle. (Wait... Casey Nichols, upon my death I here-by bequeath my journals to you. You may publish them but change the names, including mine, to protect the innoc... well, just change the names.) Biggest Loser Casting Call

Alert! This is a long one. It doesn’t take much to excite me these days, and as a rule I am, for the most part, easy to please. I try not to ask for too much, expect even less than I ask for, and generally try to be thankful for what I am given. Every once in a while, however, something really big or really cool comes along, and I psyche myself up for the event and against my better judgment I hope… I pray… I yearn… for something that will be truly life changing. When will I learn? Okay, okay, before I go into trashing mode, I will admit that there were good things about the day. Good company can turn around the most undesirable situations, and I had the best company you could ask for.
